In today's difficult job market, it is important to utilize every means at your command in order to secure the ideal job. While some of my colleagues advocate for eliminating the resume altogether, I have found that a strong and well-written resume will always open doors. It is also a fact that in today's market place, the resume content and structure have changed significantly and it is important that the job seeker is aware of these changes and addresses them appropriately. To that end, I have researched numerous online resume example sites and would like to recommend one of my favorites which offers quick and easy methods for writing your resume that are sure to impress potential employers.
One of the best aspects of Resume Example, is that it provides well-written and eye-catching samples of both resumes and cover letters. Following the suggestions and form of these example resumes, you can create a powerful set of employment documents that will help secure interviews for desired jobs.

Hi KD,
ReplyDeleteTom here. I read your blog and really liked it. I checked out the sites, and while they're great, they're not really what I need. I spent 20 years in the automotive business and, as you know, that area has been hit really hard. I'm trying to change job fields and was wondering if you know of a good site to help me do this. I've been looking on the internet for help, but I'm confused by the amount of information. Can you tell me of a site that would fit my needs?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi KD,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a blog. I used the Resume Example site you recommended above and it was excellent. It made this overwhelming process quick and easy. Now, I'm trying to get my resume posted online and am bewildered with the number of job sites available. A friend told me that there are companies that automatically post your resume to a wide variety of jobs. Can you recommend such a site?
Thanks in advance,
Jane

ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with your message - resumes are definitely important from a first impressions perspective. I've worked in the HR field for quite some time and I can tell you that I look for efficiency and effectiveness when I skim through the resumes sent to me - if the applicant is able to briefly but effectively describe why their prior experience will help them succeed for the job they're applying for, then they will undoubtedly get a call from me for an interview. That's how simple it is - the formatting is redundant. I'll hire you if you can write down who you are on a piece of paper. Good post nonetheless.
